Purpose of the site and no advice

The site works out free of charge, from the visitor’s inputs, the penalty the Italian texts set for a traffic offence (speed held, amount within 5 and 60 days, points, suspension), the payment and appeal deadlines and an estimate of the points balance, and presents the national register of speed-measuring devices by comune. These results are not legal advice, a decision or personal guidance: only the fine received, or a decision of the prefetto or the court, is binding. The site is independent: it is affiliated with no Italian ministry, police force, prefettura or comune, nor with any law firm, appeal service or insurer, and uses no official logo. Reused data

Speed-measuring devices: “Lista dispositivi di rilevamento della velocità” of the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (velox.mit.gov.it), reused under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Italy licence stated in the legal notes of mit.gov.it, with the source and the date of the copy shown. The copy used is the one kept by the Internet Archive (Wayback Machine) on 22/02/2026 (capture URL): the ministry site has never answered a direct read; each device has been attached by the publisher to its comune, and its type read from the body’s own notes. Comuni: ISTAT list of codes, under CC BY 4.0. Rules: the Highway Code, its Regulation and legislative decree 150/2011 as published on Normattiva; legislative and regulatory texts are not covered by copyright (article 5 of Italian law 633 of 1941).

Limits of liability

Data is read automatically and checked, with no guarantee of being error-free or always available. The publisher cannot be held liable for a decision taken solely on the basis of an amount or date shown here. Errors can be reported through the contact page.

Intellectual property

Text, graphics and code are protected and remain the publisher’s property; short quotations are allowed with a link to the original page. Reused public data keep their own licences, stated above.

The fine calculator can be embedded free as an iframe, keeping the visible link: see the embed page.

Personal data and cookies

What you type in the calculators stays in your browser. The site sets Google Analytics audience measurement cookies (_ga, _ga_N65T9RGL4N, 13 months at most), with no advertising; page stability is monitored with Microsoft Clarity, cookie-free.
