Editorial and corrections policy

A wrong amount makes people pay too much or miss the 5-day discount; a wrong deadline makes an appeal arrive late. Here is where our figures come from and what we do when one of them is wrong.

Responsibility

Radif Partners answers for every amount, number of points, deadline and calculation in the tools. A figure that does not match its source can be reported to contatti@multeautovelox.it.

Primary sources only

  • the Italian Highway Code and its Regulation, in the text in force on Normattiva, and the laws amending them;
  • the points table of article 126-bis, read row by row;
  • the register of speed-measuring devices of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (CC BY 3.0 IT);
  • the ISTAT list of comuni (CC BY 4.0), to attach each device to its comune.

No figure is taken from an appeal service, law firm, insurer or forum. A penalty we could not check against a text in force is not published.

The range in the text, never a forecast

We give the minimum and maximum the text sets. We do not predict what a prefetto or a judge will decide and promise no outcome for an appeal.

Checks before publication

The method’s examples, the bounds of every band and the deadlines are tests; an update that fails them is blocked. A register of fewer than 3,000 devices is rejected, and each amount is checked against a literal sentence of the law.

Update schedule

Legal texts: reread on Normattiva; the date of the latest reread is shown on every page. Speed-camera register: a weekly reread is planned, but no direct read of the ministry site has succeeded so far; the pages use the copy archived by the Internet Archive on 22/02/2026.

Handling errors

  1. Checked against the text in force.
  2. Parameters or code corrected, a test added.
  3. New date on the pages concerned.

Independence

No commercial link with any lawyer, appeal service, driving school or insurer. No sponsored links in the texts. Any commercial relationship would be stated plainly.
